Univetica in Education for Grades 7-8 [Teaching Guide]

Univetica in Education for Grades 7-8 is designed to enhance pre-existing 7-8 curricula in language arts, the social sciences, foreign languages, science, and mathematics. This curriculum is set up as a series of “queries.” Each query consists of a group of interrelated questions that can be used as discussion questions, essay/composition questions, or springboards for a larger class project or unit. Students do not necessarily have to answer every question. Rather, they should use these queries as inspiration for their discussions, writings, presentations, or projects. The queries are directly related to and follow the order of Univetica: Compelling Change, and are flexible enough for educators to integrate into their own pre-established curricula by linking them to readings, experiments, or class activities that are already in place. It is recommended that educators work through the queries they plan on assigning to their classes. This will allow teachers to really dig into the material themselves, anticipate any challenges that may arise, and tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of their students. World language teachers are encouraged to translate these queries into the target language and use them with intermediate or advanced-level classes.
